NEW YORK (AP) - Shares of most telecommunications service providers closed higher Wednesday as the broader market advanced following a better-than-expected report on consumer prices, which eased some inflation concerns.
How some key telecom stocks performed Wednesday:
AT&T Inc. rose 35 cents to $39.61.
Sprint Nextel Corp. rose 22 cents, or 2.4 percent, to $9.28.
Verizon Communications Inc. rose 84 cents, or 2.2 percent, to $38.95.
Qwest Communications International Inc. fell 7 cents to $4.71.
