NEW YORK (AP) - Shares of large pharmaceutical companies closed mostly higher Thursday as the broader market gained ground on falling oil prices and better-than-expected economic data.

Wyeth down 13 cents to $44.42.
Merck & Co. shares up 17 cents to $40.
Bristol-Myers Squibb Co., up 37 cents to $21.97.
Pfizer up 2 cents to $20.08.
