SANTA ANA, Calif. (AP) - A jury has largely rejected claims that a company that makes encryption technology for DirecTV engaged in hacking and piracy of rival Dish Network Corp.
Dish Network had asked for more than $1 billion in damages against News Corp.'s NDS Group PLC during a civil trial in U.S. District Court in Santa Ana. Instead, the jury awarded just $1,500 to Dish in the 5-year-old lawsuit.
