NEW YORK - Shares of staffing companies edged down with the broader market Friday, as oil prices hit another high and housing data from the Commerce Department was mixed.
Oil prices soared more than $3 a barrel, rising past $127 for the first time. Meanwhile, construction of new homes in April posted the biggest increase in more than two years, but single-family housing starts continued to weaken.
Here's how some staffing stocks traded early Friday:
On Assignment Inc., down 29 cents, or 3.6 percent, to $7.86.
Korn/Ferry International Inc., down 12 cents to $17.95.
Kelly Services Inc., down 16 cents to $22.08.
Robert Half International Inc., down 21 cents to $25.46.
