NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. - TriZetto Group Inc. said Friday a member of its board, Thomas B. Johnson, died on Tuesday.
Johnson had been a director since March 2003 and chaired the board's audit committee.
Johnson worked at CNA Financial Corp. from 1995 until his retirement in March 2001. Before that, he worked at Deloitte & Touche from 1964 to 1995.
Because TriZetto's sale of itself to Apax Partners is pending, the company does not plan to fill the vacant seat on the board.
Jerry Widman has been appointed chairman of the audit committee.
