BRIDGEVILLE, Pa. - Steel producer Universal Stainless & Alloy Products Inc. said Friday it will raise retail prices by 3 percent to 5 percent on all stainless and high-strength low alloy grade products made at its Bridgeville and Dunkirk facilities.
The increase will be effective on all orders starting June 1, the company said.
The company added that current material and energy surcharges will remain in effect.
Universal Stainless said it had to raise prices to offset the impact of higher energy and operating supply costs.
