CNPC installs new president and Vice Chairman

China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), China's largest oil and gas producer, announced on Friday that the company will set up the chairman and president separately, and created the post of vice chairman. It also said that the current Chairman and CEO Jiang Jiemin will continue as the chairman, while Zhou Jiping was committed as the president and the vice chairman.

ZHOU Jiping worked as CNPC's executive director earlier -- he has nearly 40 years' experience in oil and gas industry.

CNPC's announced on May 15 that the company's Executive Director Duan Wende has pasted away on May 14 due to illness.
