Most of the lost jobs are in the United States and Europe, Reuters noted quoting a person familiar with the matter. It said the employers were across Morgan investment banking, trading and asset management business.

A different report said today that the financial firm started to cut at least 350 jobs in London, the Daily Telegraph said without stating the origin of the information.

Morgan Stanley shares lost 1.05 percent to $47.21 by Friday's closing trading in the New York stock Exchange.
