EURUSD: EURs Recovery Efforts Yields More Gains
GBPUSD: Corrective Recovery Off The 1.9364 Remains In Force.
GBPUSD-While the pairs medium term trend continues to point to the downside, a corrective bounce on Wednesday has seen GBP trade and close higher at 1.9552 on Friday. This is coming on the back of a decline to a low of 1.9364 the past week. A follow through on Friday gains should aim at the immediate resistance residing at the 1.9601 level (April 1508 low) ahead of the 1.9727/19 area, its Mar 0508/April 0108 where a break could bring more gains towards the 1.9965/2027 zone, its Feb 2708/April 21 & 2808 highs. Further resistance levels are located at its Mar 2708 high at 2.0191 and its YTD high at 2.0398.On the downside, the 1.9360/35 area, marking its 2008 lows comes in as the next downside target followed by the 1.9180 level, its Mar 0407 low. This view is supported by its weekly stochastics and RSI which are both heading lower. All in all, GBP could further its upside recovery having held on to its gains since it began on Wednesday but overall trend remains to the downside.
