In a Form 4 filed with the SEC Monday, Edward C. White reported he exercised the options Friday for $24.17 apiece and then sold 7,499 of the shares on the same day for $56.15 to $56.24 apiece.
Insiders file Form 4s with the SEC to report transactions in their companies' shares. Open market purchases and sales must be reported within two business days of the transaction.
Owens-Illinois is based in Perrysburg, Ohio.
