Citizens Communications to change name to Frontier

STAMFORD, Conn. - Citizens Communications Co. said Thursday that shareholders have approved changing its name to Frontier Communications Corp. to better align the company with the brand name under which it operates.

SYMBOL LOOKUP

The change will be effective on July 31, the same day the company's stock will cease to trade on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol "CZN," and begin trading under the ticker "FTR."

The company will also launch a new logo and Web site.

Citizens offers telephone, television and Internet services under the Frontier brand name in 24 states.

Shares rose 1 penny to $11.22 in midday trading.
