NEW YORK - Shares of gold mining companies mostly fell Thursday as the price of the precious metal declined in U.S. trading.
Gold for June delivery dropped $10.30 to $918.30 an ounce on the New York Mercantile Exchange, its first drop in six sessions.
Here is a look at how some gold miners fared in Thursday's trading:
Goldcorp Inc. fell $1.05, or 2.4 percent, to $41.96.
Gold Fields Ltd. rose 15 cents to $14.17.
Newmont Mining Corp. fell 61 cents to $48.99.
Barrick Gold Corp. fell 13 cents to $42.56.
