PITTSBURGH - Koppers Holdings Inc., which makes carbon compounds and treated wood products, said Thursday one of its subsidiaries reached an agreement for a long-term lease of storage facilities and services at a Baltic Sea port in Latvia.

Financial terms were not disclosed.
The facilities will allow the storage of raw material, with an annual throughput capacity of 150,000 metric tons, for ocean transport from Eastern Europe, Russia and Ukraine to the company's European operations, Koppers said.
Koppers shares rose 54 cents to $44 in morning trading.
