HUDSON, N.H. - Digital imaging products maker Presstek Inc. said Wednesday it has resolved three "long-standing" legal disputes with Creo Inc., Fuji Photo Film Corp. and Reda National Co.
In the Reda case, Presstek said it agreed to pay $800,000 in damages.
Presstek said it filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Creo in 2005. Creo was later bought by Eastman Kodak Co. Terms of the settlement were not disclosed, and a representative for Eastman Kodak could not immediately be reached Wednesday afternoon.
Presstek also said it sued Fuji in Germany for patent infringement in 2003. The company said it and Fuji have settled this lawsuit; terms were not disclosed. A U.S.-based representative for Fuji could not immediately be reached Wednesday afternoon.
The third case involved Saudi Arabia-based Reda National Co., which Presstek said initiated arbitration proceedings against it claiming damages of $9.7 million. Presstek said the arbitrator found in Reda's favor and determined that Presstek was liable for $800,000 in damages. Presstek said it has agreed to pay about $800,000.
Reda National could not be reached Wednesday.
