Altria sets quarterly dividend of 29 cents

RICHMOND, Va. - Altria Group Inc. said Wednesday its board declared a new quarterly dividend of 29 cents.

The company previously paid a dividend of 75 cents before spinning off Philip Morris International Inc. in March.

The company, which now consists of Philip Morris USA, cigar maker John Middleton Inc., a money-management arm and a 28.6 percent stake in Britain-based beer maker SABMiller PLC, said the dividend is payable July 10 to shareholders of record June 13.
