MADISON, Wis. - Molecular diagnostics company Third Wave Technologies Inc. said Friday it would acquire intellectual property from Agilent Technologies Inc. related to DNA and RNA analysis.
Financial terms weren't disclosed.
Third Wave said it would acquire patents and patent applications from Stratagene's Full Velocity program, which are used in a test known as a polymerase chain reaction. Agilent completed its $250 million purchase of Stratagene in June.
Third Wave said the acquisition would support the company's laboratory testing product Invader Plus.
Shares of Third Wave fell 3 cents to $10.29 in morning trading.
