LADSON, S.C. - Force Protection Inc. said Monday the Nasdaq Stock Market has delayed its threatened delisting and given the armored vehicle maker more time to file two delayed earnings reports.

Force Protection said it now has until Sept. 15 to file its annual report for 2007 and issue restated results for the first quarter of last year. However, the company said in a statement "there can be no assurance" it will be able to file by that date.
The company said in March it would restate previously reported financial statements due to accounting errors discovered during its year-end review.
Shares dropped 21 cents, or 4.9 percent, to $4.06 in morning trading.
