Klein, 50, replaces Frank P. Gatto, who served as interim chief executive since February. He returns to his position of executive vice president of operations.

Klein was previously an operating partner of Symphony Technology Group, a private-equity investment company.

Gatto was named interim chief executive after Chairman and Chief Executive John Mueller resigned Feb. 27 for undisclosed health reasons. Mueller was named CEO Feb. 19 after Kathy Harless stepped down.
