NEW YORK - Merrill Lynch & Co. said Monday it named Fares Noujaim president of the investment bank's Middle East and North Africa operations.
Noujaim will also serve as head of sovereign wealth funds.
Noujaim, 45, previously was vice chairman of the board at Bear Stearns Cos., which was recently acquired by JPMorgan Chase & Co. He also previously served as head of Bear Stearns' capital markets group.
