PITTSBURGH - Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corp. said Thursday it received an equipment contract from the Federal Aviation Administration for up to 10 years, valued at more than $40 million.

The contract, one of three FAA deals currently held by Eaton, has a base period of two years and four additional two-year options.
The agreement calls for Eaton to provide power supply equipment that will be deployed in mission-critical FAA installations throughout the U.S. Guam and Puerto Rico.
A separate Eaton support contract, which provides services and spare parts to about 1,000 FAA sites, was also renewed for five more years.
Shares rose $1.34 to $93.75 in morning trading.
