WASHINGTON - Harris Corp., which supplies communications and information technology services to government and commercial customers, spent $595,290 in the first quarter to lobby on funding for a range of federal agencies, according to a recent disclosure form.

The Melbourne, Fla.-based company also lobbied on legislation to reauthorize the Federal Aviation Administration, and on measures to encourage the health care industry to adopt electronic medical records.
Besides Congress, Harris lobbied the FAA, departments of Transportation, Commerce, Health and Human Services, and other agencies, according to a disclosure report filed April 15 with the House clerk's office.
