MOLINE, Ill. - Deere & Co. said Friday that flooding in Waterloo, Iowa, has not affected tractor production in the city, which is home to the company's largest tractor plant.

The facility, which is not near the site of the flooding, was on routine summer shutdown before the Cedar River swelled its banks.
Deere said it did halt work during the week at other facilities used to produce parts and components in downtown Waterloo, where flooding has been a problem. The plants themselves were not impacted by the flooding and work there has resumed, Deere said.
The company said its workers have been active helping the city and nearby Cedar Falls battle the flood.
