Pioneer Natural Resources EVP exercises options

NEW YORK - The executive vice president for business development of oil and gas producer Pioneer Natural Resources Co. exercised options for 2,500 shares of common stock, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing Thursday.

In a Form 4 filed with the SEC, William F. Hannes reported exercising the options on Thursday for $24.72 apiece and then selling the same number of shares on the same day for $76.25 apiece.

Insiders file Form 4s with the SEC to report transactions in their companies' shares. Open market purchases and sales must be reported within two business days of the transaction.

Pioneer Natural Resources is based in Irving, Texas.
