Workstream ends deal with Empagio

MAITLAND, Fla. - Workstream Inc., which makes human resources software, said Friday it ended its buyout agreement with Empagio, a privately held human resource software and services provider.

The deal was announced in February. No reason was given for its dissolution.

Workstream said it sent a notice of termination to Empagio, demanding a $5 million termination fee under terms of the agreement.

Workstream shares closed at 32 cents.
