HILLSBORO, Ore. - Chip maker Lattice Semiconductor Corp. said Monday it named Bruno Guilmart its new president and chief executive, effective July 7.

He replaces Steve Skaggs, who resigned effective May 31.
Guilmart, 47, most recently served as CEO of the Unisem Group, a Malaysia-based company that makes semiconductor assembly and test services.
Jan Johannessen, Lattice senior vice president and chief financial officer, served as interim president and chief executive.
Shares fell 10 cents, or 2.6 percent, to $3.80 in afternoon trading.
