NEW YORK - Telecommunications service providers opened slightly lower Tuesday as the broader market was mixed following better-than-expected second-quarter earnings from Goldman Sachs. Investors, however, remained concerned about high oil prices.
How some key telecom stocks performed Tuesday:
Verizon Communications Inc. fell 34 cents to $35.90.
AT&T Inc. fell 23 cents to $35.94.
Sprint Nextel Corp. rose 8 cents to $8.28.
Qwest Communications International Inc. fell 3 cents to $4.16.
