NEW YORK - Shares of electrical equipment companies closed mostly lower on Monday as investors focused on a jump in oil prices and awaited the Federal Reserve's meeting that starts Tuesday.
Light, sweet crude for August delivery added $1.38 to settle at $136.74 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
Here's how some shares of electrical equipment companies fared:
Flextronics International Ltd., down 35 cents, or 3.4 percent, to $9.81.
Baldor Electric Co., off 31 cents to $38.11.
Emerson Electric Co., down 28 cents to $53.63.
Molex Inc., up 6 cents to $26.82.
