NEW YORK - Shares of machinery companies fluctuated in early trading Wednesday even as the overall market gained ahead of the Federal Reserve's decision on interest rates and policymakers' take on the economy.
Here's how some machinery stocks were doing in early trading:
Manitowoc Co., up 48 cents at $37.11.
Terex Corp., down $1.45, or 2.4 percent, at $58.76.
Cummins Inc., up 93 cents at $71.78.
Caterpillar Inc., up 28 cents at $76.92.
Deere & Co., down 86 cents at $74.48.
