U.S. Attorney Troy Eid said 53-year-old Terrice Gay Hutchinson of Denver was arrested Tuesday morning following a grand jury indictment.
He said Hutchinson faces up to five years in prison if convicted of charges of providing false information and threats to aviation transportation.
She is accused of calling Southwest Airlines on April 17 and saying her husband was planning to blow up an airplane departing from Denver to Las Vegas. Eid said the airline investigated the threat without interrupting the flight.
