Financial terms of the contracts, placed earlier this month at a solar conference in Munich, Germany, were not disclosed. Yingli said prices for some of the products will be determined later this year.
Conergy AG placed two orders for photovoltaic modules, or packages of solar cells. One order is for 7 megawatts of photovoltaic modules to be delivered this year; the other is for 50 megawatts of modules to be delivered next year.
GeckoLogic GmbH placed two orders, one for 4 megawatts of modules to be delivered between September and December and the other for 3 megawatts of modules to be delivered between October 2008 and March 2009.
Yingli's chief executive, Liansheng Miao, said demand in Germany--which recently reduced its solar energy subsidies--"remains strong and the region continues to be an area in which we plan to further strengthen our presence."
