Charming Shoppes names new chairman

BENSALEM, Pa. - Women's apparel retailer Charming Shoppes Inc. on Thursday named Alan Rosskamm non-executive chairman.

At the company's annual meeting of shareholders on Thursday, the board of directors voted to separate the duties of chairman of the board and chief executive.

Rosskamm has been on the board since 1992 and is the Bensalem, Pa.-based company's longest standing board member.
