The Alpharetta, Ga.-based company lobbied on issues related to data security, privacy, fraud prevention, employee background checks, identity theft, and more, according to an April 21 filing with the House clerk's office.
Besides Congress, the company lobbied the U.S. Postal Service, Small Business Administration, the departments of Agriculture, Homeland Security, Health and Human Services, Housing and Urban Development, Justice and Transportation.
ChoicePoint spent nearly $1.4 million lobbying last year.
