Gas prices steady at $4.07 a gallon nationwide

NEW YORK - The nationwide average price of a gallon of regular gasoline Friday was $4.07, unchanged from Thursday, according to AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

That compares with $2.98 a gallon one year ago.
