NEW YORK - Critics have praised "Wall-E" as a contender for the best movie of 2008 as it opens today in the United States.

Experts comments have placed the film at the top of this week's openings on rottentomatoes.com, a review aggregation site. The site's 'Tomatometer' marks 98 percent positive reviews from Approved Tomatometer Critics.
Pixar's latest film has garnered a number of glowing reviews, painting the film as "a jewel" , "dangerously close to the sublime", "2008's first perfect film", "pure visual magic" and a movie that reveals that "Pixar Animation Studios has just topped itself, again."
