SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Agilent Technologies Inc. said Monday it has acquired MTS Systems Corp.'s Nano Instruments business unit.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Nano Instruments makes nanoindentation products, which are typically used by researchers in the academic and industrial sectors.
"With Agilent's robust sales channel and global infrastructure, we anticipate growing the Nano Instruments business and offering a more complete nanomeasurement product portfolio to our customers worldwide," said Bob Burns, vice president of Agilent's Nanotechnology Measurements Division.
Shares of Agilent fell 5 cents to $35.54.
