WASHINGTON - The American Hotel & Lodging Association spent $350,000 lobbying the federal government in the first quarter on labor, travel and tax issues, according to a recent disclosure report.
The Washington-based trade group lobbied on issues involving medical leave, immigration, tourism promotion and health insurance, according to the April 21 filing with the House clerk's office.
Besides lawmakers, the trade group lobbied the departments of Commerce, Labor, Justice and the White House in the first three months of the year.
Members of the association include Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc., International Hotels Group PLC, Marriott International Inc. and Wyndham Worldwide Corp.
