NEW YORK - Health care equipment and supply stocks rose in early trading Monday, despite losses in the broader market as investors remained cautious of skyrocketing oil prices.
How shares of some major health care equipment and supply companies fared shortly after the opening bell:
Varian Medical Systems Inc. added 38 cents at $51.81.
Covidien Ltd. gained 41 cents at $47.80.
Stryker Corp. added 90 cents to $63.16.
Baxter International Inc. rose 98 cents to $63.89.
