Quest Technologies bought by 3M, price undisclosed

ST. PAUL, Minn. - Conglomerate 3M Co. said Tuesday it completed its purchase of Quest Technologies Inc., which makes equipment for monitoring noise, heat stress and vibration.

Terms of the deal for the Oconomowoc, Wis., company were not disclosed.

Quest Technologies makes noise dosimeters, sound level monitors, heat stress monitors, vibration monitors, indoor air quality monitors, gas detection equipment and software to integrate its monitoring and detection equipment.

Shares of 3M rose 7 cents to $69.66 in afternoon trading.
