NEW YORK - Shares of aerospace and defense companies rose Tuesday as the broader markets recovered into positive territory.
Stocks got a lift in the afternoon after investors appeared pleased by General Motors Corp.'s June sales, and June export data for U.S. factories.
Tuesday's results in the aerospace sector included:
Honeywell International Inc. picked up 58 cents to $50.86.
Raytheon Co. stock gained $1.29, or 2.3 percent, to $57.57.
Rockwell Collins Inc. added $1.54, or 3.2 percent, to $49.50.
Precision Castparts Corp. rose $2.16, or 2.2 percent, to $98.53.
