NEW YORK - Major beverage stocks finished mixed Tuesday, despite a slight rebound in the broader market as investors reacted to a better-than-expected sales report from General Motors Corp.
Earlier Tuesday, Belgian brewer InBev SA urged Anheuser-Busch Cos. shareholders to challenge the beer company's rejection of its unsolicited $46 billion takeover bid, but made no move to raise its offer.
How shares of some major beverage makers performed:
Anheuser-Busch fell 18 cents to close at $61.94.
Coca-Cola Co. lost 98 cents to $51.
Molson Coors Brewing Co. added 90 cents to $55.23.
PepsiCo Inc. gained 81 cents to $64.40.
