NEW YORK - SAP AG named new heads of its Europe and Latin America units after the current bosses were promoted to the company's executive board, the German maker of business software said Tuesday.

SAP named Jose Duarte president and chief executive of its operations in Europe, Middle East and Africa. He replaces Erwin Gunst.

The company, based in Walldorf, Germany, tapped Rodolpho Cardenuto president and CEO of SAP Latin America. He replaces Bill McDermott, who headed the company's Americas and Asia Pacific Japan unit.
