BALTIMORE - Athletic apparel and footwear maker Under Armour Inc. is naming former Land's End President David McCreight as its president, responsible for long-term growth strategy development.
The Baltimore-based company said Tuesday that current President Kevin Plank will continue as chief executive and chairman.
McCreight will report to Plank when he takes on his new post in September.
The 45-year-old joined Lands' End in 2003 and became president of the Sears Holdings Corp. subsidiary two years later.
A spokesman for Hoffman Estates-based Sears says the company is starting a formal search to find a replacement.
Under Armour shares rose 11 cents to $25.75 Tuesday. Sears shares fell 37 cents to $73.29.
