NEW YORK - Shares of insurers mostly rose Wednesday morning along with the broader market despite expectations that a new report will show factory orders slowed in May because of shrinking demand due to higher energy prices.

Assured Guaranty Ltd. rose 39, or 2.2 percent, to $18.43.

MGIC Investment Corp. added 20 cents, or 3.1 percent, to $6.74.

Allstate Corp. gained 40 cents to $46.66.

Progressive Corp. rose 32 cents to $19.41.
