The agreement, financial terms of which were not disclosed, calls for China-based Yingli to supply 10 megawatts of solar modules, or packages of solar cells.

The contract, which runs from this month through the end of the year, is Yingli's first with Enfinity.

A one-megawatt plant running continuously at full capacity can power 778 households each year, according to the U.S. Department of Energy. Solar technology has lower capacity since its power generation is constrained by availability of the sun.
