NEW YORK - Shares of electrical equipment companies opened mixed on Thursday as the broader market fluctuated following a fresh record in oil prices and a weaker-than-expected reading on the service sector.
The Institute for Supply Management said its index of activity in the service sector in June fell to 48.2 from 51.7 in May, lower than analyst estimates.

Graftech International Ltd., down $1.48, or 6.2 percent, to $22.48.
Wesco International Inc., down 29 cents to $36.59.
Emerson Electric Co., up 51 cents to $48.65.
Cooper Industries Ltd., up 38 cents to $37.49.
