Assured Guaranty Ltd. rose 62 cents, or 3.5 percent, to $18.08.
PMI Group Inc. rose 16 cents, or 10.8 percent, to $1.64.
American International Group Inc. rose 23 cents to $26.47.
Travelers Cos. rose 6 cents to $44.40.
