NEW YORK - Shares of machinery companies rose in early trading Monday, as relief about a drop in oil prices sent the overall market up.
Light, sweet crude for August delivery fell $4.67 to $140.60 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
Here's how some machinery stocks were doing in early trading:
Manitowoc Co., up 70 cents, or 2.5 percent, at $28.28.
Terex Corp., up $2.05, or 4.5 percent, at $47.97.
Cummins Inc., up $1.65, or 2.7 percent, at $63.37.
Caterpillar Inc., up $1.22 at $71.53.
Deere & Co., up $1.90, or 2.8 percent, at $70.35.
