Yahoo Inc. rose 73 cents, or 3 percent, to $24.64.
Google Inc. rose $10.62, or 2 percent, to $554.53.
Akamai Technologies Inc. fell 12 cents to $32.34.
VeriSign Inc. fell 40 cents to $32.85.
