Force Protection gets $42.5 million Marines deal

NEW YORK - Armored vehicle maker Force Protection Inc. said Tuesday that it received a $42.5 million contract boost from the Marine Corps Systems Command to provide spare parts and support for its previously ordered mine-resistant ambush protection vehicles.

Shares of Force Protection rose 29 cents, or 9.2 percent, to close at $3.43. The stock has ranged from $1.03 to $25.25 over the past year.
