Fundamental analysis for precious metals gold - 7/8/2008
The metal was able to build a base to support it to the upside to reach the 918 level where it is represented by the 38.2% correctional level in the third stem of an Elliot wave in which four have already been completed and we now wait for the final one. The upside direction will be small and weak compared to the previous movements due to gold entering an overbought area that is seen on the momentum indicators which could take the metal back down to 920 before reversing to the upside
The trading range is seen among 890.70 support levels and 943.70 resistance levels.
The general trend is to the upside as far as 730.00 remains intact with targets at 983.00 and 1016.00
